The business AI buying guide

How to choose AI for your business

Assistants, shared platforms, automation or Ninjafy? Start with the work you need done.

The short answer

Choose the simplest setup that reliably delivers your workflow. An assistant may be enough for individual work. A shared platform becomes relevant when people need common context, handoffs and controls. Builders suit teams that want to configure and maintain their own processes.

Shortlist Ninjafy when you want shared AI capability and business assets you can retain. Ask it to prove the collaboration, ownership terms and results that matter to you.

These are overlapping buying approaches, not rigid product categories. Ninjafy belongs in the shared platform comparison; its separate column shows the offer being assessed.

Five buying questions

Ask every vendor the same five, and ask for a demonstration rather than an answer.

  1. 1Is it multiplayer, or one person at a time?

Ask for a two-person handoff with different permissions, on a real workflow. Several agents working for one person is not the same as a team operating together.

  2. 2Do we own what the system learns?

Ask for an export and a restoration. Separate your business assets, context, agents and skills, from the vendor's runtime and the underlying models.

  3. 3Does the learning compound, or reset?

Switch model providers and see whether context, skills and approved lessons remain usable. Test quality after the switch, plus approval scope and rollback.

  4. 4Can we see cost against outcomes?

Compare accepted results, human review and rework. Include setup, integrations, usage and maintenance in the full operating cost, not just the licence.

  5. 5Is it governed in operation, not just on paper?

Test an unauthorised action, an approval gate, a spending limit and a usable audit trail, on the exact plan and deployment you would buy.
